Need some advice please

I bought the eVGA e-GeForce FX 5200 Ultra.

Some questions:

Firstly, I've been getting the "Power indicator" warning from the
NVIDIA driver. Every time I boot the computer it warns me that the
card isn't receiving enough power.

Now, I have an Antec 380W TruePower unit in my computer. I did hook up
the video card to a power connector. Every single other thing in the
machine is ok.

I contacted eVGA about this issue, they said they kind of know about
it and they're waiting for NVIDIA to make a better driver for them. I
don't know if this is ever going to happen.

What I need in a video card is for it to be very fast and have
dual-monitor support. Also, I don't want less than 128 MB.

I liked this card because it has a good NVIDIA chip and dual monitor
support, and it wasn't too expensive.

However, I'd be more than happy to send it right back to them for a
refund if someone could recommend a good card that meets my needs.

I want something that has a good 3D chip on it, but it doesn't have to
be the best of the best. I don't really play games much these days, so
I'm not going to need the best gaming card.
I definitely want dual monitor support though, if possible.

I paid about $130 for this card, so if there's anything in that range
that anyone could recommend, or if you recommend just sticking with
this card, I'd appreciate feedback of any kind.

Do you think that they will make a driver update that will fix this
power indicator issue?

What's the difference between Ultra and Non-Ultra, besides the fan?
Is Ultra trying to draw so much more power?

Could you recommend a specific card, or at least manufacturer?

How are BFG cards?
I have one in a machine but it's just for watching videos on my TV, so
I don't know anything about it's 3D performance.

you can get a 9600 Pro which has your dual monitor support and will kick
the 5200s ass. The Gigabyte models are a good place to start.

On the power issue, I know on my model I get that if I don't plug power
into the card - it doesn't just run off the AGP slot power. Perhaps
yours is the same - does your card have a power socket?

Yes, and it is plugged in!
The manufacturer says it is a driver issue that's still being
resolved.

The ATI RADEON 9600 or 9600SE looks pretty fine.
Is that going to perform well with 3D games, etc.?

Just what's the difference between the 9600 and the SE version?

Should be good, try another PSU. My Antec PSU smoked last summer.

Good? It's considerd **** by gaming standards. The 2year old Ti4200
will stomp it into the ground... $75

Any $75 fx5200 or ATi9200 can do that... if you're not into games, you
don't need a $130 video vard. And you don't need 128mb either.

Even the $130 (sometimes $100) off the shelf ATI9600 has 128mb / DX9 /
dual output - just as crappy for playing games as the fx5200.

9600 anything (except SE). Plain 9600 is cheap and has no fan so it's
quiet, and the performance doesn't suck. Pro is faster and more
money, but probably the best value good gaming card today. XT faster
and more money yet, but not a bad deal either.
