Dual Core Chips vs Dual Processors
Is there any performance advantage of dual core chips over dual
processors? Or is the advantage strictly on the $$$ side of things? -nikoli

You are right. It's simply a dollar difference. Cheaper CPU and cheaper

processors? Or is the advantage strictly on the $$$ side of things? -nikoli As I understand it, the bandwidth between processor and shared memory cache and, in AMD's case, between the processor and the memory controller can be much much higher if they are all on the same chip. CK
