1.6 ns DDR3 memory?
I am looking for a 6600GT graphic card and have decided to go for one of the
ASUS Extreme editions: Asus Extreme N6600GT GeForce PCX6600 GT 128MB DDR3 TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-055-AS) and Asus Extreme N6600GT TOP GeForce PCX6600 GT 128MB DDR3 TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express) & DOOM 3 Bundle - Retail (GX-055-AS) The latter is allegedly the overclocked version at 550 MHz engine and 1.1 GHz memory. They also say it has 1.6 ns DDR3 memory. Unfortunately for some reason neither of these cards was part of the testing at Annandtech.com a couple of weeks ago, so it is difficult to compare. My questions is: Is there such graphic memory or is this simply overclocked at the factory? The difference in the price is only ? 10, which makes me to believe that it is the same memory. Any suggestions/comments? Thank you in advance guys! Cheers, Jordan --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
