"Erratic behavior" 128Mb MX440 on a PIII@500MHz, Any idea?
Hi,
I just bought a 128MB DDR AGP Video Card with nVidia's GeForce4 MX440 3D Chip and TV-Out. When I fisrt installed it was working great, but the next day when turning on the computer the display was with a lot of characters with different colors. I removed the card physically from the PC and I reinatalled it and again it worked fine. Now it is doing the same, any idea if is some "imcompatibility" with my M.B. I have a A-Bit BX6? Thanks a lot in advance, C. White |

It could be because you have a problem somewhere.

Thanks a lot in advance, C. White sounds like it's fried. I had something similiar once with my TNT2 that went nuts after a faulty firmware upgrade. I have heard others say that when displaying coloured chars while in BIOS mode that then the card is fried. Mario |
