Memory compatibility 939 A64 3000+
I am passing down my mobile 2500+ / NF7 combo to my son, and I'm going to
order a socket 939 A64 system. I was thinking about the 939 3000+ and Epox EP-9NDA3+ (or "J" version w/out Firewire). Is it likely that I'll be okay re-using my current RAM, which is 2 sticks of 512mb Kingmax PC3500? I've got about 2gb of the stuff here, because it's performed very well in my 2500+ systems. I do plan on oc'ing the 3000+ some. Please advise. jake |

If that's enough, you're fine. -- Abit KT7-Raid (KT133) Tbred B core CPU @2400MHz (24x100FSB) My server http://wesnewell.no-ip.com/cpu.php Verizon server http://mysite.verizon.net/res0exft/cpu.htm |

I OC'ed it to a 3800+ thanks to this group. it has some tricks to get it right, but a 600MHz overclock is awesome. -- Reality is an illusion caused by lack of alcohol.
