Default Updating MoBo, what about XP..?

On first boot, boot from the Windows XP CD and run a repair install.
Then install the mobo drivers, etc.

If you let XP boot without doing this first, things just may not work
correctly at all (IE really badly) - this is highly likely. So if you wish
to test the mobo with say memtest86, good, but first boot is an XP repair.

I think it's HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum

Sounds like your going from Intel to Intel, keeping to similar chipsets
greatly increases the chances of it simply working fine.
