Default QuickCam & AOL

I want to be able to update my webcam pictures using my QuickCam and so far
have gotten the settings for logging into my AOL account but when it comes to
the ftp access it doesn't go thru - I get the message "ftp error" or "error
logging into ftp" - so I don't know how to solve this. I get the feeling that
it is something simple but I have tried so many different things I'm running
out of ideas.
