Default SATA 10K vs 7.5K drives for workstation

I am considering putting in the WD Raptor into my
workstation for gaming, digital photography, and software
development. Is it worth the extra money?

Yes, yes, and yes. If you want to see something amazing, put two of
them in RAID-0

If you appreciate real speed in loading programs and files, you'll really
like the Raptor.

Based on what I have read about the Raptor, it is an
amazing drive. I do intend on getting on for home, now it
is time to sell my boss on getting one for my office
machine. The only problem is that, where my home machine
has a SATA port, my office machine does not.

Can you recommend a good SATA card that isn't too
expensive? The only onces I am able to find are RAID
cards.

Sam
