Power Supply Problem?
I am currently in the process of moving all the components from my
Gateway 300SE Special, into a computer case I purchased on eBay. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1) Before I installed the motherboard, I plugged in the Power Supply, and I heard the fan whirring. I then installed the motherboard, RAM, PCI Cards, CPU, and CD/Hard Drives. I tried plugging the computer back in, and I got nothing, couldn't see or hear any fan. I unplugged all the plugs from the Power Supply, and tried running it again, to no avail. I am positive that my electrical outlet, and my cord work well. I tried the computer plugged into multiple outlets, and yet, I still heard nothing. This power supply was new, and it was working fine before I installed the computer. The old computer had no problems whatsoever with the power supply. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you, Tony ) |

Power Supply Problem?
I'm not going to mess around with it anymore, I had it running, and I
got the power supply working, but I saw a flame inside the PS. I unplugged it, and I'm not fooling around with it anymore. Its going to my computer store. Hopefully, the flame didn't screw up my HD, motherboard...or something... Thanks, Tony |
