Default Is Aopen 52x24x52 best for DAE?

Hi,

I'm looking for a CD-RW drive that's best for DAE, especially using EAC
secure mode. I'm also looking for a drive that's good at reading scratched
or bad CDs.

I've read some reviews at CDR-info and CDRlabs and I'm consider 52x24x52x
drives from Aopen, Sony and Samsung.

It seems that Aopen has the best DAE speeds in EAC secure mode and seems to
do better than the Sony for reading scratched discs, but I could only find 1
review for it.

Can anyone comment on how good the Aopen drive is or if they recommend a
different one for this purpose?

Thanks,
Ric

In my experience I would say that the Plextor 4012 is the one to go for
- it is the only drive that I have found that will fully read my
scratched test disc.

Cheers.

James.
