Default Help ID "Other Device" in Device Manager on Dell Dimension 8000

Ah.

Probably the Intel motherboard drives. You can download them from Dell
Support.

Ooops.....I forgot to mention that is a Dimension 8300 desktop PC - he

just
bought it brand new a week ago from Dell. I asked my friend if his case

has
a little button beneath the power button, but he said there wasnt. Any
other idea what the "Other Device" is? I was thinking it was the Dell

mouse
(actually made by Logitech), but I couldnt find any drivers for it on the
Dell drivers CD. All other hardware seems to be accounted for and drivers
properly installed.

Thanks....

Well, I'm confused. Dimension or Inspiron (Desktop or Laptop). There
wasn't a Dimension 8000 that I remember.

Did they get it used or new? If it's an earlier Dimension 8xxx and

you've
installed XP, then it is the little button below the power button on the
front of the case. Pretty useless little button and there's no driver

for
XP, so you just live with the yellow exclamation. Doesn't hurt anything.

My friend just got a new Dell Dimension 8000, but there is still one

"Other
Device" (with yellow exclamation mark) listed in the Device Manager

that
I
cant seem to ID or find the driver for it.

Any idea what this is? I already loaded the drivers for everything

that
came with the PC, incl. video card, sound card, Ethernet card, etc. I

tried
using the Dell driver CD that came with the system but it cant ID this
unknown device either.

Thanks for any help......
