Default GA-8IK1100, Windows 2000, and SATA

In researching the group I see where one person recently asked about
this, but then decided to install XP in lieu of W2K.

I'm about ready to buy an 8IK1100, and I'd like to use a 160GB SATA
drive as my boot device with Windows 2000 SP4. The MB manual says "XP
only" for SATA/RAID, but I see where now there are apparently W2K
drivers for the ICH5R controller on the Gigabyte support site.

Has anyone successfully installed W2K with SATA? Your advice would be
much appreciated.

Thanks.
