Default 3d Mark 05 crashes when CPU is overclocked

- the cpu or gpu is overheating because of a bad or slow fan.
- a fan is could be running slow or blowing in the wrong direction
- not enough heat compount used
- bad ram. you could run memtest overnight

Every time I try to run 3d Mark 05 (free version) with over (or
under) clocked cpu and ram, it crashes. This is reproducible and
consistent, although not always on the same point.

Anyone can help?

I don't think so. Everything else runs fine... I will try running
memtest, thanks.

Nothing is guaranteed when overclocking. Sometimes you'll get 30%
overclocks, sometimes 5% or sometimes nothing at all.
