Default Can I Use nVidia's Drivers, or do I need Medion's?

Hi all,

I have an nVidia card in my Medion PC, which is identified as a "Medion
GeForce 4 - 8x Ti4200". On Medion's site, the latest driver is 43.51. On
nVidia's site, there is a 44.03 driver. Can I use the drivers from nVidia,
or is there something special about the card so that I need to get drivers
from Medion? Did Medion make it, or are they just re-badged by the

different
OEM's?

Thanks,

Sean

Yes you can use any Nvidia Detonator driver and i recommend you use lates
drivers found at Nvidia's web site.Your card is propably been manufactured
by Medion or some other company because Nvidia itself does not manufacture
whole cards just gpu's.For example my Creative Graphics Blaster Ti4400 is
manufactured by MSI.

Yes you can. nVidia doesn't produce graphics cards. It only produces
GPU-s used on these graphics boards. The detonator drivers mostly get
out earlier than those of the manufacturers although sometimes the
manufacturers driver of the same version is a bit better (tuned for the
specific board). I've seen it on ASUS boards.

PS! The current version of drivers (for Win2K/XP at least) is 45.23 on
nVidia site. But if you don't use FX series cards then there might be no
difference to you at all as the newer detonators include drivers for the
older cards although they may have not been altered in any way (I think
the GF3Ti cards drivers in the new detonator are the same of 30.xx
drivers so no change in between except the version number).

Mario
