Default Concerning Memory Brands.

Hey..

Do memory brands really matter? Would 2 strips of memories with the same
spec be different if one was manufactured by Corsair vs. Samsung?

And also, I see that there're different "flavours" within the corsair brand:
TWINX, XMS, XMS2, etc. while all the flavours have 512MB DDR400 strips.
What would be their differences besides the nice blue heat sinks?

Thank in advance.

there is definately a difference between different brands of memory...
but in general if you go with one of the known good "name" brands
you should be ok...
the stuff to really avoid is that low priced "generic" ram...
there's a good chance you will have problems with it
