Default Can I make Nero recognize my new drive?

I have Nero 5.5.something running a TDK/Liteon drive.
I added a new LiteON 52x CDRW drive, but it's not recognized
by nero.
The new drive came with Nero Express 5.5, but I have to uninstall
the old version and lose all the configuration info in order to
reinstall Nero Express. It does recognize both drives. I can enter
my oem serial number and get the full version. But I'd like to keep
all the old config stuff.

Is there a way to make my old Nero configuration recognize the new
drive? I tried copying the new Cdrom.cfg file, but that didn't do it.

Suggestions?
Thanks, mike
