Looking for a new card, suggestions?
As the subject says, I'm looking to buy a new card. This is my current
system: ASUS P5N32-E Plus, QuadCore Q6600, 9800GTX+ 178.13s, 2 Raptor 74gb & 150gb, 2 SATA 200gb, 4gb Corsair DDR2 1066, OCZ 700W PS, HP DVD-RW, X-Fi 64mb Pro, 22" NEC Fe2111SB, Vista64 SP1, Tai Chi watercooled case. What do you think would be good and hopefully last a while with potential to be kept with other components upgraded in the future? Thanks! Avatar |

Avatar I suggest you carefully measure case clearances and card length if looking at the GTX 260/280/295 family. They make a 9800GTX+ look small. |

Avatar Up your CPU to a Q9300 or 9400 first and get back to us. The Core 2 scales very well. I think you'll find there's no BIOS support past the Q6700 or E8600. |

Mine is 10.5" and that's the exact same length of the 295GTXs I've looked at. Also, if you noticed the case I have it's actually quite large so it's a non-issue. Thanks for mentioning it though.
