Default Drivers won't install for 9700 pro- help!

When i run the set up i get:-

Set up was unable to find components that can be installed on your current
hardware or software configuration. Please make sure you have the required
hardware or software.

This happens with the driver only and the driver + control panel.

Previoulsy i had omega drivers on, which i removed following the
instructions on the omega driver cleaner txt.

The ATI drivers were the 26mb ones, not with the new control panel thingy

at the mo, i have drivers that istalled automatically and are ms
signed and the card is listed as a radeon 9700 pro.

any ideas??
