Default BIOS possessed by de debbil?

Is it normal for your BIOS settings to change for no apparent reason,
like they say one thing then you go back in and they say another?

You want some laughs? Here's what I did:

1. for some reason I still don't know, Explorer would not start.
2. I tried to do a partial Windows reinstall, which ended up
blue-screening
3. I got profssional help, who salavaged my data and put it in a
folder.
4. I noticed there was another windows folder with the old data.
5. To save some space, I deleted the old Widows folder
6. Suddenly, my CD-RW disappeard from my computer. It would not show
up in either Windows or DOS.
7. I pulled the Widows folder out of the recylce bin, but the CD-RW
still did not work.
8. I tried several system restores, one of which seemed to be stuck so
I turned it off.
9. Windows would no longer load, so hello repairman.

Moral...a fool and his computer are soon parted.

If indeed your BIOS settings are changing randomly try replacing your BIOS
battery.
