Default Setec 702 DVDR

I cannot get the USB driver for this thing to install correctly.
It is a combo TV tuner ,analog, recorder for DVD and CDR's.
The USB driver is not signed by Microsoft. It installs the program but USB
driver C:/windows/gene.inf and Usbscan install incorrectly. They sit in

the
USB part of Device manager rather than Sound & Audio properties. I then

get
message USB read error. Have Googled, contacted supposed Canadian supplier
Honesttech.com for updated drivers all to no avail. Has anyone encountered
this piece of modern technology or ideas re installing USB drivers. I also
will get error 38 Windows already has this driver in memory so I reboot

and
then still no go. This driver ubsscan is also the same driver for a

scanner which makes no sense. At one point I had the scanner come up.
Thankyou
Stuart

*Sorry. I am running Windows XP * usb Ports. VIA Hubs
