Great MB and easy to work with and I REALLY like the onboard audio. I've had problems with the WD caviar 120GB JB, and have switched to Maxtor 120's....don't know if the WD 80s are good or bad. I have two of the Lite-On CDRW's that you mention and like them. I have one machine with the Antec 380 and it's quiet and much better than the Enlight it replaces (which fried after one year causing much grief)....I only buy Antec's now and have been happy ever since. Hope this helps. - Dave Kistner |

Thanks. I feel better about my choices, now. I've spent the past 2 months
researching components & this is what I came up with. Thanks Again, Heath "David Kistner" wrote in message ... Heath Holden wrote: This will be my 1st build. Below is a list of my components. Kingston HyperX works good for me. The ddr400 will allow you to run the fsb at 200mhz if you decide you want to. Without it you won't have that option. The xp 2500+ will run at 3200+ speed without a problem for little difference in price. I'm not too hip on the expensive case either, just not my preference. I have four home builds using about the same basic set up as you are contemplating except I put them in less expensive cases with 300 w ps. So far, so good, great functionality and I got three cases for the price of your one. Roger |

Me 3, but I have two 100's that have been running for 1 year, one as D: here and another on another system. I also have a Maxtor DM9 160gb that has also performed well, now as C:. Actually, I presently have one Maxtor, 5 WD's, and three IBM's (two are pre-Deathstar) that are either permanently attached on this system or rotated in mobil racks (Ghost clones). All are working fine, and the only one I don't trust is the IBM 60GXP. |
