Default PCTV distorted sound RESOLVED on C-Media Device

Ever since I replaced my Diamond Monster MX400 sound card for a
motherboard with onboard c-media audio I have been experiencing the
same problems that everyone else who uses c-media audio and PCTV. The
static interfering noises when playing back recorded audio, or going
into LIVE mode. After reading every other post about this issue, I
didnt find the answer or help I needed. Pinnacle's website definitely
was no help, as they could provide a good answer from their discussion
forums or FAQ page. My setup has always been using the internal sound
out on the gard to connect to the AUX line in on my motherboard to
send the PCTV card audio to the PC. My alternative was to try the
passthrough Audio out port on the TV card, and connect that to the
Line IN jack on my motherboard, but that didn't work either. Then it
dawned on me to try the microphone port I took the passthrough cable
from the LINE IN jack of the motherboard and plugged it into the MIC
IN jack. Then changed PCTV Audio setup from TV Playback: AUX and PCTV
Recording: AUX to TV Playback: Microphone and PCTV Recordign:
Microphone. I also unchecked the Microphone boost optiono from the
Volume control which I had enabled when I used an actual microphone to
chat. After that, I hit the record and stopped it and played it back,
and vola the sound distortion was greatly reduced. Enabled the
Timeshift feature, and went Live and noticed that there was barely any
traces of static audio in my recordings. WooooooHoooo! No I dont have
to dish out cash for a new Sound card, or TV Tuner card.
