Default ML330 IDE Drive probs.

Hi there,
I've just recently invested in a Compaq ML330 server to play with in the
hope of teaching myself a little bit of new technology.
OK, I have Red Hat Linux 7.3 installed and the system has the standard 18gig
SCSI hard drive. But I would like to install Win98 on a seperate 10gig IDE
drive for other not so adventurous members of my family to use. But whatever
I do the system just doesn't want to recognise that the new hard drive
exists.

I have the IDE drive plugged into the secondary IDE port...and I've tried it
as master/slave/single and none of them work......I even tried taking the
main SCSI drive out and starting up and installing Win98 with only the IDE
drive installed...but it says the system doesn't have a hard drive.
I even tried another 2gig IDE with Win98 already installed but still no joy!

Any suggestions?...can anyone help?

Thanks

JC

Oh and also, how would I go about changing the BIOS so it's not read only?
