Default 2500+ Barton - overclocking question

Have a Barton 2500+ at default speed;

I would like to run the cpu on 2200 or 2400 Mhz, or minimum 2100 Mhz, but
with a nice temperature (40-45 degrees of celsius)!! What a special cooler
do I need to do
that (zaiman does it?) ?! Or... can I take this action at all?! The
motherboard is: ASUS
A7N8X Deluxe.

Thanks in advance;
-ha-

My system is running at 3200+ (2.2 ghz) with the stock HSF (using the
included thermal pad) and has a CPU temp of 41.

You're gonna need at least PC3200 memory if you plan on accomplishing this
by OC'ing the FSB to 200 mhz (which may be a necessity if you're CPU is
locked...a good chance it is).

Can't you "unlock" this cpu? I plan to order the same combination and I
don't want
to hunt around for a "pre-week 39 - unlocked" cpu.

Get a Thermalright SLK-800A or 900A, plus an 80mm fan of at least 50 CFM,
plus a fan spacer of at least 10mm (use a gutted fan).

OK, I gotta ask. How do you use a spacer (gutted fan) on a sink that uses
wire clips?
The reason I would like to know is cuz I'm currently using a 92mm on an SK6+
and the thouhgt of a spacer rocks my world.
Any help much appreciated.

Regards,

Garry

Slice the fan-cowl in half - to make it 10-13mm - and sand the cut flat.
I did this on my SK7, but it's no go with a 38mm fan.
Dropped temps idle 7/4C loaded.

The A7N8X Deluxe (and most nForce2 boards) allows access to the multipliers.
At least the one I have does. I can change the multipliers on the two
Bartons I have tried: 2500+ and a 3200+.
