Default Is my motherboard broke?

My Medion computer stopped working. I had a 3 second beeping sound but
nothing else.
Medion support said it was the memory stick which was at fault.
I bought another one and the beeping went, but there is nothing working. It
will not get into boot up mode, nothing appears on screen and no beeping
noises at all. Just a green light and nothing else (the fan works).
I rang Medion support again and they said it was the motherboard.
As a thought I removed the memory stick and the beeping returned. If the
motherboard was broke would the beeping be heard?
They do not think its the graphics card because there are no beeps coming
from the PC.
Are Medion right?

Many thanks
