Default Clogged Black on i560

I tried solvents, new black cartridges,
air blasts, and even contacted Canon. Their
stupid answer was make sure the cartridge
has ink. It was buy a new print head or
a new printer...WRONG...a pot with 1 inch of
very hot water cleared the clogged print head
in a couple of minutes. It was amazing how
fast that water turned solid black. A couple
of swishes, a little air blast, and that sucker
works perfect.

The information is informative but it is slanted and heavily skewed
toward AfterMarket inks by hobbists who use and promote that kind of
stuff; including fotofreak.

The majority of printer users who happen to use OEM ink in their printer
usually do not frequent those sites or this NG and have far less
problems than those you read about here.

If Measekite had an open mind (or any mind at all) he would learn a lot on
the Nifty-stuff and Neil Slade sites and realize that the people who
contribute most to it have great investigative abilities, engineering or
scientific backgrounds, and a sincere desire to share information and help
newbies and long time printer users alike. Far from being hobbiests,
several of them use printers in their businesses with heavy printing loads,
some have businesses doing refilling of carts and share their experience,
and some are just having a hell of a good time printing tons of stuff in
color because the non-OEM inks cost about a tenth of what Canon inks cost
and they don't even have to think about the cost of ten or a hundred 8x10's
more or less. Measekite, if you had respect for other people's experience
and opinions and stopped being so effing critical you would be regarded as
any other contributor on this NG instead of being known as the resident Pain
in the Ass.

It is only you guess that most OEM ink users don't have problems and don't
come onto this NG. My guess is that the majority of computer users don't
know anything about any of the NG's and suffer through hardware and software
problems without the benefit of this whole community of people who
generously give of their time to help others. My guess is that most people
use OEM inks and when they have head clogs that won't clear with the printer
driver cleaning cycles they toss the printers and buy new ones. Too bad
they didn't read the Nifty-stuff and Neil Slade sites or get Arthur
Entlich's instructions as they would still be using the printers they could
have easily repaired. You do a great disservice to people who could be
helped by reading these sites when you criticize them as you do.

going to let new participants see what a loose cannon you really are. Your
