Default Dell has the worst tech support in the world

The 24 hour tech support is a joke.
If you want to spend all night on the phone, buy a Dell.
They put you thru menu hell and then another 20 min of hold time.

Screw Dell

And when you do get a human they're in India and their accent is so
thick you can't understand them anyway. If they're comprehensible it
soon becomes evident that they are reading from a script and haven't a
clue about thinking outside the box for a solution.

But fear not, with Windows 7, things will be better. :-D

I'm guessing the typical Indian high school student can find Iraq on a
map, knows how to spell the name of his country's capital city and is
competent in basic algebra.

It would be nice if over here could claim the same, but unfortunately,
we can't!

Dell moved their phone support to the far east to reduce costs.
Unfortunately the operatives DO read from a script with their proposed
recommendations and they do go offline when they need assistance from higher
quarters.
