FM2-A85XA-G43 Motherboard Help Please
I have a MSI FM2-A85XA-G43 Motherboard. I have three bootable hard
drives SATA-connected. I want to change the boot order in the BIOS, but I can't find a way to do it that takes and retains the order permanently. Anyone have experience with this board and can help me do it? Thanks JW |

What are the actual problems you are encountering? Are any other BIOS settings 'sticking' after they are changed and is the internal clock working when the system is unplugged. If not then you may have a bad CMOS battery. Happy Thanksgiving! Yes, I agree - the manual does seem pretty clear on this. I can and have dragged the boot order icons at top of the BIOS Settings window to get the order I want, And I do see and have selected 'save and exit' or something close to that, but the order is never changed. I never thought about the battery. I should try changing that. I guess another thing I could try is to disconnect all the SATA connectors to all the bootable hard drives, and then reconnect each, one at a time, booting up each time. I'll bet when I get done, the drives will be in the boot order I want. I did that and it worked. So I'll just leave it at that. No idea why I couldn't save the changed BIOS settings. JW |
