Old server
Someone gave me a nice server.
Dual CPU 3ghz and 4 gigs of RAM several ultra-wide drives Doggone it...it's got Win2000 server on it. I don't need a server and can find no one who wants it. It should be able to run most any new OS just fine but due to it's size and power consumption is going to be hard to give away. I'm open to suggestions |

I'm open to suggestions Ebay. ******* The folks over on 2cpu.com like such machines. http://forums.2cpu.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&f=13 But shipping it anywhere, would be prohibitively expensive. You would need the unlikely combination of someone who lives in your city, and would come pick it up. ******* And if you changed the form factor (went from tower to rack mount), the noise from the cooling fans would go up. Tiny fans spinning at 6000 RPM, you wouldn't want that in any residential situation. A larger case allows more freedom to select a fan solution. Paul |

Paul Yep, way too heavy to even consider eBay but I looked inside again and it has not only one ATA connector, two ultra-wide connectors... there are also a couple of SATA connectors which I had not noticed before. Since I already have an SATA drive already loaded with Win7 I popped it in and within a few minutes it reconfigured just fine... So maybe I can find a taker for it |
