Hey,

I need to lift my keyboard on my laptop to clean it. Can someone tell
me how to go about it?

It would really help to know which Inspiron model you have. But even not
knowing this, the instructions can be found here by following the model
number and reading the user's guide/service manual:

Sorry. I thought I put that in.

It's an Inspiron 1150 laptop.

Thank you for the link.

there is a little panel at the top of the keyboard on the right side is a
slot use a small screwdriver to pry this up. Put the screen all the way open
lying almost flat then work the
panel up. It is held in place by friction tabs. There are four screws that
hold the keyboard down remove the screws. Tilt the keyboard up and at the
bottom is connector, carefully
unplug it and your done.
