Default Presario 700 laptop speed tweak

All,

I've just replaced the motherboard of my 1GHz presario laptop with a similar
board from a 900MHz machine. I am using the same 1GHz processor.

Is there anything I must/can do to get 1GHz performance from this new system
or am I stuck at 900MHz from now on? And before anyone asks, I'm a "tight
wad" (as we say in the UK) and the new MB was cheap from eBay ;-).

Cheers,
Paul DS,
