Nvidia GT216GLM [Quadro FX 880M] screen brightness problems
Here is screenshot of the range from 0% dim to 100% bright.
http://oi61.tinypic.com/rhq1k6.jpg It not much. How do I tell Kubuntu to give more range of dim to bright? $ lspci | grep VGA NVIDIA Corporation GT216GLM [Quadro FX 880M] When my Linux Lenovo W510 went into hibernation on Kubuntu, the screen never regains the original bright of screen until I boot again. When the dual boot hibernates on Windows, it keep the bright screen when it recovers. So it just is Linux that is dark. The keyboard has a blue (Fn) (Home) for increasing bright of screen, but it does not work. Also not working is the (Fn) (End) which decreases brightness. When all is good, I press those two buttons and up comes this little screen bright bar which goes from 100% to 0% and vice versa, but does almost nothing (very little change). http://oi62.tinypic.com/358xquv.jpg So, the keys work but not by much. Only Linux has problems. Any advices to help me overcome the screen dim light when Kubuntu leaves and returns from hibernating? |
