Default 8800 Ultras - Unwanted SLI "performance guage" on LHS of screen

Hi

I'm running two BFG 8800 Ultras on an Asus Striker Extreme
QX 6850 4gb memory

Had the system for one week.
Tonight... for some explained reason, a vertical bar type gauge appears on
the LHS of the screen whenever I am running various games. ie Age Of
Empires 3, Middle Earth, IL2 etc. in SLI mode. It doesn't appear on the
normal Windows desktop.
The "gauge" is two parallel vertical lines, with "SLI" at the top. The green
bar in the middle seems to move up and down with the fluctuating degree of
activity. If I disable SLI the gauge disappears.

Has anyone experienced this?
Is this a feature I can get rid of, or do I have to reinstall drivers?

Thanks
John Hellingsworth

Open the NVIDIA Control Panel.
Click on the 3D Settings option on the menu bar.
If there is a checkmark beside the Show SLI Visual Indicators then click on
this menu option to uncheck it.
Done.
