CRAP

Has anyone experienced the vanishing character syndrom on their
keyboard lately. I thought this only affect cheap laptops made by
noname vendors, but lately have seen this on high end Dell computers.
Should I wear gloves to reduce the tear and wear to the keyboard? And
this is the kind of lousy quality you can see, who knows what kind of
crap they install inside the case. Parts quality has sunk to an
alarming low.

I'm a farmer and my hands are always very rough. I literally wore a
small hole thru the space bar on a keyboard, and very few keys had the
original characters left. I used a fine point permanent marker to
write them back on the keys. I had to do this about once a month.
That keyboard finally died. Now I am quickly wearing out another one.

I get it on high end keyboards too. Mainly
because I use them more than many do.

Its universal even with MS and Logitech keyboards.

God knows why the known fix isnt used anymore, double injection
molded keytops. Cant just be the cost because they dont bother
even with the high end MS and Logitech keyboards.

I plan to hold them to the warranty, but havent gotten around to doing it yet.

How the keytops are done has nothing to do with the stuff in the case.

Heck...I'd think that if you used certain keys so often that the print wore
off...
you'd eventually figure out what the key is without having to see the
letter.

I've been typing or using a computer for many years and though I've never
learend to touch type...
certainly by osmosis most the the letter on the keys is no longer necessary!
