Paralel port dongle access via ethernet/ port redirection
Hi,
my company wants me to figure out, if there is a possibility to use a dongle (Hardlock E-y-e) over TCP/IP. There is a software, that needs a dongle and should be accessed via a remote computer. Firstly, I thought of simply attaching the dongle to a "pinter port to ethernet" adaptor, that you can make your printer work within the LAN. But this won't work, as stated here somewhere, because these adaptors don't perform a clean protocol conversion (as far as I know), but somekind of wired stuff. VNC is the last option to handle the problem, a transparent redirection of the port would be great. Does anyboby know a possibility to solve this? Thx in advance, Dominik It is special software for rf-testing under windows 2000 on an old Intel Pentium 166 machine with 64 Mb ram. No donglewar, legal software license present. This should not be about cracking, but about using one license for one computer at a moment, so please no piracy discussion. |
