Drive Image copy disk only 20 GB on 60 GB Drive
I had to copy a system from a 20 GB drive to a 60 GB drive using Drive
Image 7.0 (same as Ghost 9.0) disk copy. It came over fine but now instead of 60 GB I only have 20 GB. When I check it in the Disk Management Service it correctly shows 57.5 GB and same with Partition Magic. But when I click on the C: Drive icon it only shows 20 GB. Where did the rest go and how do I get it back? |

How? Anyway it is the the fact that my C: Drive went from a 60 GB one
to a 20 GB one even though partition magic says I have 60. My 40 gig drive generates an image that is 12 gig. HTH, -- Kenneth If you email... Please remove the "SPAMLESS." |

Hello again, I don't know anything about the precise method, but the drive is compressed by these imaging programs. (I use DI, Fhost, and True Image and all do the same thing in this regard.) All the best, -- Kenneth If you email... Please remove the "SPAMLESS." |

Where did the rest go and how do I get it back? While selecting the options before copying the drive using DI, did you select the option to resize drives to fill entire space? If not, remove the partition you created on the 60GB drive. Then use DI again to copy the 20GB drive to the 60GB drive, and enlist the option. |
