Default overclocking problem

Hello,

i have a little problem...Every time when i change multiplier in bios even
from 12.0 to 12.5 end save it end exit,my computer doesn't start... i've
tried to increase the voltage but it doesn't work anyway... same hapens if
i increase fsb..

what is the problem????

P.S. i have ASUS a7n8x-x with amd athlon xp 1900+ and 384 mb ddr memory..

your memory timings could be too low for that clock speed your trying to use
try lowering your memory timings alittle and try again.

Just a thought.

Start small! Try to find the minimums first and work up... I also run a
A7N8X and i know that you can down clock the heck out of that board. Keep
the multiplier as low as possible though, and work with the FSB first.

Your CPUs multiplier is locked. Same with FSB.You cant overclock your
CPU.Sorry
