DVR with ATSC tuner and port for eSATA or USB drive
GMAN wrote
Rod Speed wrote Daniel Prince wrote Jim wrote http://www.digitalconnection.com/pro...vixm6620np.asp Dual tuner DVR (ATSC/ClearQAM) and supports USB HDDs (FAT32/NTFS). The manual on this is not very clear. Can this DVR record two different programs at the same time or can it just record one program while the user watches a different program? If it doesnt say so explicitly, it can normally only record one program while allowing the user to watch something else. Then its not what most DVR users call a Dual Tuner. It isnt what DVR users call it that matters, its what the manufacturer calls it. I have had the capability to record 2 things at once while watching an already recorded show with my DirecTV TIVO DVR for over a decade now. And quite a few with dual tuners cant do that. |

It even has a bit torrent client if like you "rent" movies from the pirate bay. Where in the website does it claim two shows can record at the same time while watching a recorded show? Indeed, the user manual repeatedly says, "In case of dual tuner, you can watch other channels while recording a program of your choice," and doesn't mention any other use of the dual tuner. -- Bob Nichols AT comcast.net I am "RNichols42" |

Even some of the Japanese manual leave a lot to be desired, including one Samsung TV which has a built in digital TV tuner which the manual says nothing explicit about. Like i have said before, Tivo has done that for over 10 years. But thats a much more high end product than the cheapest chinese stuff. |
