KV8 pro and Sata

Hello

I'm building a system with a KV8 pro motherboard. Im trying to use a WD
sata hard disk but cant get the computer to see the hard disk. I done the
normal stuff with the floppy drive and F6 at the start with no luck.

There is something I'm not sure of, when booting up should you get a SATA
RAID screen just after the POST screen? I dont get anything like that so I
cant even tell if the motherboard can see the hard disk...
