powering of the 9700, 9800 - is it all 12v plug in ?
Just wondering where these radeons get there power ?
Is most drawn from the 12 volt plug in or is the agp slot primarily used and then any additional required used by the plug in ? or ? thanks |

Well it takes some power from the AGP port 'cos if you don't plug in the power connector, it scares the living crap out of you by making a very loud beeping noise and then displays a message on screen that you have not plugged it in. I believe it is in fact the +5V line. And it's unregulated on the card, so
you need a quality psu. I wish my antec was adjustable rms |
