However biggest problem with this could be no DirectX 12 support.

I think this could be the end for Microsoft and the PC.

I expect sales to plumpet to all time lows.

Bye,
Skybuck.

Microsoft themselfes announced Windows 10 will be their last version.

Perhaps Microsoft is thinking of stepping out of the OS bussiness.

I would advice game development companies to start developing for
alternative OS-es

I also think Linux will have a great 2016 if it can provide a privacy aware
operating system.

Not all linux distro respect privacy apperently.

Hmmm will have to find a nice privacy respecting linux os or so...

Perhaps one that can run windows games and maybe even dx12 in future

2016 could become the big breakthrough of linux on the desktop...

Interesting times.

Bye,
Skybuck.

Some predictions how this could play out:

1. Massive dumping of Microsoft stock within a year or so.

2. Intel/x86 not that interesting anymore if no viable operating system or
development platform.

3. Thus my prediction that ARM might go big in 2016 may actually happen if
android or so hits the PC-ARM like PCs...

4. Especially with hot GPUs and such and newer mobile chips... perhaps
they'll end up in some kind of PC.

So it's either Linux on x86.

Or perhaps Android on ARM.

I don't like Android that much it feels cheapish and
non-technical/productive... though perhaps that might change.

Though google a spyware company too... so perhaps that won't work out.

For now my bet would be on linux distro's going big.

What possible reason could people have to go back to Windows once they went
Linux ?

Hmm..

Bye,
Skybuck.

Ok,

I have seen enough, it's definetly time to start dumping Microsoft software
in general... all their applications are like that and now the OS too.

I am too tired to read through 48 pages of privacy crap and toggly god knows
how many settings and then to continue to hack the OS lol.

Might as well install a different OS that doesn't require so much privacy
tweaking.

Seems like NSA has taken over Microsoft.

Could time to bail out

Bye,
Skybuck.

Default Microsoft 2015 Privacy Statement (Was Skybuck's DreamPC design for 2015, version 1 initial draft.)

What worries me even more is the dicking around Microsoft could do in
future...

Like deleting files and crap like that.

Storage on clouds also bad... in case internet connection drops.

Windows update troubles...

Yadayadayada lol.

Bye,
Skybuck.

Default Backdoor in Skylake ? Was ( Microsoft 2015 Privacy Statement (Was Skybuck's DreamPC design for 2015, version 1 initial draft.))

The bigger problem with all of this is Intels' Cooperation with Microsoft
throughout the years.

If Microsoft has such big privacy violations then it stands to reason that
Intel will have implemented a backdoor in their chips as well.

Which could be a fine reason not to buy any of their products anymore.

Instead printeable electronics is the way of the feature.

Buy 3D printers, with open source software and open source compilers to make
sure no backdoors are inserted during the compilation and printing process.

AMD probably cannot be trusted as well.

As any other commercial chip printing process.

How is it possible that the computer can wake up from a voice command ?
Spying that's what.

Just the fact that Intel is stupid enough to implement such a dumbass
feature proves enough already.

Why would such a company create the illusion of spying if it's not truely
spying on you.

Logic dictates they have moved far past that point already.

Does this DSP need a Nic or not ?!

**** you intel for not releasing any information about it.

I will wait this one out.

Bye,
Skybuck.

Concerning the mic in the chip, somewhat unlikely because of fan noise...
though perhaps PCI board could be used to measure vibrations and other
digital processing tricks.

Also the chip is inside a case.

However for systems with build in mics this be worriesome.

Other backdoor accusations including a 3G build in chip which sends out
signals even if Computer is off.

Skybuck.

And a completely build in second chip... with an secondary OS spying on
everything or so... and using the 3G... nasty stuff.

Bye,
Skybuck.
