Default 1685 x 1050 (WSXGA) LCDs

I've recently upgraded my laptop to one with a 1685 x 1050 (WSXGA) LCD,
and I'd like to upgrade my desktop to match (Long story)

Anyone have any recommendations as far as to LCD monitors to look at or
to avoid?

The nice thing about standards, there is enough for everyone to have their own.

I would LOVE to find a decent LCD monitor in this resolution at a reasonable
price (pivot would be a bonus). I don't recall ever seeing one though.

I could see the benefit of a pivot option, but I wouldn't use it myself.

My biggest goal is to have matching resolutions on my laptop and desktop
so that I can remote desktop without it screwing up my window placement.

Failure is not an option. It's bundled with your software.

There are NO desktop LCD monitors produced with that particular resolution
as the Native resolution.

That's because I'm an idiot... 1680x1050 is what I'm looking for, not
1685x1050. Only other requirement is that it must have DVI input.

FWIW, I don't game at all, so I don't need an ultimate gaming monitor
here either, just something I can comfortably use for 12+ hours a day.
I can manage a CRT for 6-8 hours, but beyond that I get headaches even
at 80Hz.

Dell has one, it's 20.1 inches wide aspect but it's not cheap.

Yeah, I found Dell's offering -- I'm leary about buying anything from
Dell, mostly because on my last 4-5 attempts to buy something, sales
kept saying "I'll have to research and call you back" whenever I asked
any question about specs that wasn't covered by the website. In no case
was any call returned.

The one time I tried to order something via the web, I received all the
confirmation emails, the order went to the shipping stage, then sat
there for 3 weeks. I called, it turns out their web orders go to a
sales rep to process them (fair enough), and the sales guy was too busy
so he hadn't entered the order, now the promotion was expired.

*mutters*

On the plus side, I've received amazing service on the piece of Dell
hardware I own, an Axim. I bought an external wireless card from Dell
(this was before the current series which has wireless internally), the
card was defective. I called around 3:30am, it took about 30 minutes of
being transferred between departments before I found the department
which handled wireless issues. They agreed the card was defective and
had a replacement card to me at 1pm *the same day*

I'd be happy with a 17"-18" display (my laptop is 17.1"), but I need the
right resolution. I can probably sell my current 18" LCD fairly easily,
so the $899 pricetag on the 2005FPW isn't *that* bad.
