Upgrade to W2k Problem with Dell PpwerEdge?
I am trying to upgrade Dell PowerEdge Server 2400 which has a Dell Perc 2/Si RAID controller, from WinNT to Win2K. When the server is booting up, it says 2/Si controller - which means that my server has a Perc 2/Si RAID controller!!! Now, I downloaded the Perc 2/Si W2K drivers and a firmware upgrade from Dell website. When I try to upgrade firmware, it says the files are not compatible. The drivers also don't get installed. When I insert and boot from the Win2K CD, it does not find and Hard Disk. What could be wrong? Thanks.
