CPU upgrade for 5423US?
Can someone give me the lowdown on the CPU and heatsink in the Presario
5423US?Is it true that the heatsink is glued shut,and has a non-standard connector?I presently have a 1.6 Pentium 4,and I'll be damned if I'll pay over $800 for the 2.0 upgrade that Compaq wants,especially when a 2.4,which the system will support with the latest bios upgrade,is going for around $160 at most parts suppliers.

Even if that's true, it's nothing a razor blade and bit of thermal epoxy couldn't take care of. Rick
