Default Radeon 9600 Pro vs FX 5600 (not Ultra), OpenGL

I can get them the same price (at my budget limit, so don't even
mention Quadros, FireGLs). Any experiences with the opengl
performance/issues (using "lighter" apps like Rhino)? It would seem
ATI has a slight edge in DirectX but haven't been able to find
non-gaming OpenGL info. Leaning towards the ATI but I seem to remember
that older ATI gaming cards always had issues with drivers and OpenGL.
Thanks.
