Need Temperature Sensor with LCD

I am looking for a temperature sensor that I can place near the CPU
and show the temperature outside the case in a small LCD display.

I am thinking of building an enclosure to house the PC in order to
minimize noise. But I am wondering whether this may increase the
temperature inside the case. Therefore, I want to test it inside an
enclosure that I have already built for a different purpose to see if
the CPU temperature may raise or not. In order to do this, I need to
find a way to check the before/after CPU temperature. Unfortunately,
my PC is a Dell Dimension 4300 that doesn't have a temperature sensor
on the motherboard (it has a P4 though); therefore, I cannot use
software such as Motherboard Monitor to check the temperature.

I appreciate any suggestion on this subject. Thanks.

Indoor/Outdoor digital thermometer with sensor attached to heatsink. Cheap.
Easy. Available everywhere. There are also some of the fan/speed control
accessories that will do that with a small probe you can tape to the bottom
of the cpu, but they are expensive and not really needed for what you want
to do. The cheap thermometer will show you the temperature difference just
fine.

can place anywhere you want, plus fan speed monitors, alarms (user set).

Checkout the CompuNurse. Has two temperature probes and very compact.
