new Cyberdrive 52x - is my tray ejection speed normal?
Hello All,
Last night I installed a new Cyberdrive 52x24x52 CD-RW in my 3-year old Dell. So far, the drive works well, with the exception of one thing that is bothering me: When I eject the tray, it seems to come out of the drive quickly, but then halfway through the ejection, it slows WAY down (probably about half the speed as the first part of the ejection). The weird thing is that when the tray goes into the drive, it goes in at a steady and quick speed. It's only during ejection when the speed seems to vary. Just wondering if any other Cyberdrive users have the 52x, and if this tray behaviour is normal or not. By the way, not sure if I would buy this unit again if I had another chance...it's loud as hell when spinning. Sounds like an F-16 ready to take off. |
