Default GA-K8NF-9 How to remove backplate to install zalman 7000 cooler?

The zalman 7000 cooler requires putting it's own backplate and nipples
on the board. I am unsure how to remove the stock backplate. There are
2 white plastic pins holding it in place I'm not sure how to remove them
and I don't want to break anything by applying force to a wrong place.

Thanks for any help

Try squeezing the end of the pin together with a pair of pliers and then
pushing it through the hole in your board.

Hope this helps, Mike
