GA-K8N Ultra-9 F5 bios will not load XP or 2000

I couldn't load XP or 2000 on any SATA or IDE port on my GA-K8N
Ultra-9. I took the new mobo and loaded the latest bios (F5) on it.
Then I was stuck and thought it was just the classic SATA trouble.
But, when I couldn't load on an IDE drive I knew something was up. I
tried 2000 and instead of rebooting during the install it hung. I
searched and found some info on the HAL not being set correctly and
tried backing the mobo bios back down to F4. Now, all is well! I
loaded XP on teh SiI3114 SATA port with no problem (just F6 and the
SiI3114R5 driver). I'll tell Gigabyte and hopefully they'll fix it in
F6.
