Default 45.23 driver freeze Q2

iblumenthal wrote:
The 44.03 drivers worked ok Installed tne W98 45.23 drivers.
over the 44.03 without removing old drivers, this has worked lately.
Q3 runs fine but Q2 opens and computer locks up.
Need hard reboot
I have a Gforce 3 card. W98SE 750Hz CPU
Any help appreciated

I don't think there is any need for you to update to the 45.23 as the
driver should only incorporate updates for the FX line of cards.

Which also only incorporated updates for the FX series, and was only
WHQL certified for the FX series. At least the 45.23's are certified
for the entire range of Nvidia chips.

So, does anyone know what are the most recent drivers whose changes
weren't solely for FX users' benefit?
